I’m going to bore you a little more with my thoughts on changing the world.
I’ve developed a theory. This theory is that changing the world is a lot like cleaning my room. And here’s how that works:
So the room gets messy, and I put off cleaning it because I say to myself “I’ll do it eventually,” or “Someone else will do it.” And I say those things over and over until it becomes extremely apparent that neither of those things are going to happen. So I have to make a decision: am I going to clean it now or wait until the mess is even worse?
Maybe I decide to do it now. So I look around my room in search of the best way to go about fixing the problem. Sometimes the problem looks so big that I get overwhelmed and just give up. I feel like I’ll never get my room clean so why even try? I sit down and watch YouTube videos or go on Facebook instead.
Then eventually I decide that I just need to do it. But as I look at all the trash, clothing and random stuff on my floor I feel like I have no idea where to start. There are so many options of what to do in what order that I get frazzled. But my parents always told me one thing “Just pick something and start there.” The problem is not choosing what to do, but choosing to just do something. Do what is within your power while you have to power. Don’t try to vacuume the floor while its covered in clothing! Pick up the clothes first.
Random Fact of the Day- The movie “Spy Kids: 3D” came out in 2003. I’m so old, I saw that in theaters when it first came out!
Mission of the Day- Wear something sparkly!
